I have a woods 59L mower on a farmall 140. I bought blades for it, they are a different rotation than I need.

Which 59 do they fit?

I think the L in L59 stands for left hand rotation. The arbors will have left hand threads/bolts.
I think the 59 could be a right hand rotation mower for some applications.
There is a lot of information on the Woods website if you can dig through it.(The manuals are all there).

Next time look for just the numbers on the OEM
blade. Then google it. I found a place in the USA
that makes all the blades and they were cheap. Yes
made in AMERICA AND CHEAP.

L-59 and R-59. The folks that you purchased them from should have it in their books. As others have said, L is left rotation, R is right rotation. Years back, I had the same problem, and was my fault. The parts guy asked "Left hand or right hand rotation", and not knowing about L or R, well, I've got a set of righties been setting in the barn for about a decade, and they're not free or the cheapest. I had a 50 - 50 shot of getting it right, and got right, which was wrong special order.

Good luck.
