john deere 2010

I changed the hydraulic oil and cleaned filter. The filter was plugged before I did this my power steering and 3 point were working. After changing oil all my hydraulics stopped working. Could I have a air lock or does the pump need to be primed. If I have a air lock how would I check and fix that?

How long were you running it to try it out? Did you have the
clutch engaged (foot off) during the test? Some of those early
Deeres required clutch engagement for the charge pump in
the trans sump to pump oil to the main pump in front of the
engine.

2010 is different from the JD tractors that have a trans(charge) pump as it only has the one gear pump which is open center and it isn't affected by foot clutch. My guess is screen isn't clean enough & pump lost it's prime during oil change. By chance the pump drive didn't get disconnected by moving lever(parts key #28)??

Filter may have to be replaced. Try cycling the hydraulics. Turn steering wheel lock to lock many times and try to raise and lower 3ph.

This is an open system so it cannot air lock, the oil should be free flowing all the time. Check the pump engagement as TX Jim says. Have you pulled the priority valve and checked it? The internal passages in the front transmission maybe plugged. ( Usually from excess RTV sealer used on the transmission cover.) Remove the cover pull insides out, pay particular attention to the orientation of the spring and valve. Take coil wire off and turn over engine, this will purge the oil passages to clear them out. BTW you will get oil squirting out so throw a rag in their to catch it..LOL. Let us know how you make out.
