Bobcat 743B

Will a bobcat 743B have enough hydraulic power to run a hydraulic post hole digger effectively? I see they are only around a 10 gallon pump. 12" auger bit for corner posts. Thanks for any information.

Ten gallon doesn"t sound like a high flow machine, but the auger motor needs to match the machine capacity.

It will run it, maybe not very fast but will make it dig.

We have a 853 bobcat that runs a post hole digger fine, don't know if its much more than a 743b maybe a little bigger, and we use our new s650 but that's got plenty for the post hole digger.

According to the bobcat spec site, the 743b is 11gpm and the early 853's are 17.5 gpm.

Ours is a 1995 we bought new and it runs it no problem

My neighbor has one and it digs holes really well. I thought my heavy duty 3pt machine worked good.......until I saw his 743 with a posthole digger in operation.
