I'm gonna hold off at least another week. The ground's too cold yet. No sense having it just lay there while the ground crusts over.
I disced some today because it was getting green,but that's enough for now.

I finished fitting ground today, but not planting beans until the end of the week. Grounds too cold now. I may end up with another trip over with disc and drag if it rains much.

Some corn that was planted across the fence from me on April 10th is just coming up now. There isn't enough of it up for me to tell what the stand will be. I also saw a field with a couple of replanted areas today but I don't know why it was replanted. Northwest Iowa. Jim

Lots of field prep going on here--SW Michigan--but haven't seen anyone planting yet. I'm seeing some good looking wheat fields. I plowed and disced my last plot yesterday. Need to spread fert and work in. One plot gets lots of sun so I may plant corn next week, although it's supposed to cool off again.
