Cats have it made

They are both males and like to sit in this window that extends out. Both were left out as strays. Hal

Often cats'll let the dog know who's BOSS, as well!

Nice looking cats. Here's Millie the Rag Doll cat. Her owner had to go into a nursing home and couldn't take her cat. Hal

Friend said that his cat was a real hunter: He spent all of his time looking for an easier life!

My wife's male cat was chowing down on a chipmunk this morning. She lets him out for a couple of hours a day. He eats well inside so who know why he finds the chipmunk a delicacy.

I doubt our cats realize how good they have it. All the food they can eat, a warm place to sleep, and they don't worry about cleaning the cat box. Even a mouse now and then that sneaks into the house. Stan

She was an outdoor cat for most of her life. But finally made the big move indoors as she got older. She's taken to enjoying it quite well, now.

Rusted:

Cat looks the same as the last time I saw it, a month or so ago. I'd a thought you'd have buried that dead old thing by now, or did you take it to a Taxidermist and have it "stuffed" in that position.

LOL!

Our little dogs think they're cats! They love it in front of forced hot air vent.

I just don't get cat people. No offense, like what you want, but I just don't get it. 1 cat, in the barn, that's one thing and I can tolerate it. Cats in the house, no thanks.

I'd consider a cat if I knew it would find chipmunks to be tasty. Problem is that I'd get a lazy one and my daughter would fall in love with it.

From the movie "The Profssional" Watch it ;it is a very good movie and you will see this sceen.

Where I live I have two indoor cats and a couple of outdoors furries. ALL OF THE FEMALES are fixed!!! They keep the moles and chipmonks at bay. Even get a squirrel or two. I do like that cats have a staff. I was raised on a farm and there was one farmer that didn't like cats. WELLLL guess who's barn was nearly carried away buy mice??? Want to guess. He always had poison nuggets all over the place. FOOL.

I don't want dogs in the house either.
Cats are very little problem outside.

Question for the Brain Trust:I found a kitten on top of truck engine during a November rain storm. Could't leave it out there. Obviously in distress.I was ready for hand full of teeth and claws. Did't happen. Picked him up took him inside, fed him, showed him litter box,he used it. He looks like one of the feral cats in the barn.Vet said he was 6 weeks old So---if he was feral how was I able to pick him up or was he a drop-off?

The kitten recognized a trainable human.

we have lived on 2 acreages for a total of 23 years. 1 time at each acreage we went without a cat over the winter. At both places the mice ramped up SIGNIFICANT in the house. The house we have now is 6 BR and 4,300 sq feet walk out basement. I have not seen signs of a mouse for years. I let him up in the 3 stall garage attic via the pull down ladder randomly too in case there are any thinking that is a safe place to live. But yes, the cat we have now has gone on walks daily with us when weather permits for 5 years. Grew up with a Golden Ret. dog and learned it from her.

(quoted from post at 22:34:41 05/08/14) That is because you are not a cat person. Cats are the most loveable creatures on earth.

You're right, I'm admittedly NOT a cat person and thankful for it. The loveable part is completely subjective.
