First hay cutting this season

My Son had A little hay field here close to the house.
The ryegress was ready and the sun was out all week. Why
not cut it. Cut it Tue. and bale it Sat. Little over
4 acre field made 200 bales. Now the good hay come out.

baling ? on the north side of my pole barn where the snow slid off the roof I still had snow on the ground as late as last week.(western Ny.) bill

I just looked across the road, and the neighbor still has a 2 foot high bank all along the north side of his pole barn. Some spots in the yard are starting to green-up. Dan

Wow just plowed a little yesterday on gravel . Clay ground you can barely walk without sinking to your hips. Central ny here right on the pa border. Grass is starting but it's a long ways off.

Looks good. I looked at my ryegrass this afternoon. I've got 80 acres but it will be at least 3 weeks before it's ready. Last year I cut 5 4x5 bales per acre the 2nd week in May. I doubt it will be near that much this year.

Still 2-3 feet of snow in place here, and the fields are just a solid shade of brown with standing water most places. No hay here until around the 4th of July...

We are from N.E. Texas. In Panola Co.
Good place to live.

I think that hay cutter is A NH 461. It sure does A good job cutting hay.
