Local guys and their dad ran a salvage yard for years and of all things never sold any parts. Now that their dad has been gone for at least 30 yrs they must figure they can start getting rid of things. Every so often they drag out a goodie and park it for a while then haul it to the crusher. This looks like the last stop for this milk truck which I assume is a Divco? Looks like a few good parts on it.

that is a divco! somebody needs to save that thing, there arnt many still around and they make a neat economical fun truck

I was working at a mall on Saturday and I saw one go by all restored with two young people in it. The grill was all chromed out and it said Zoob on the signs and had a spinning thing on the roof that said Zoob. I googled Zoob and found it it was some kind of toy company that must have been doing a promotion at the mall with the Divco truck. I had never seen one that nice. It was actually over-restored . Pretty cool sight driving by.

Neat trucks, but after working 1 school summer vacation helping Dad remove decals and repaint about 40 of them as dairy changed owners, I have no fond memories of them. Grind/sand, grind/sand, grind/sand...LOL. (Seriously, I'd take a fully retsored one.)

A neighbor about 1/4 mile from me ran a dairy (corn, hay, cows, bottling plant, local delivery, the whole nine yards) for 25 - 30 years in the 40s - 60s. I well remember the Divcos delivering milk around 4:00 - 5:00 AM.

There was an estate sale about 10 years ago and a couple of old Divcos (very bad condition) were sold. Lots of folks showed up from far away to bid. Don't know where they went but do remember that the local independent auto parts store where I worked after HS in the 60s kept gasket sets in stock for his Divcos.

There was one in our area that the guy made a street rod out of it, BB chevy, nice wheels and paint and lots of chrome. Neat truck. Chuck

Saw one some time back a lot like that. Big block Cheby with a blower, chrome hood scoop sticking out of the hood, tubbed in the rear and BIG slicks. License plate said PRO MILK.

Sorry, I intended to leave my email open, too. It is in Saginaw, Mich at Rose Auto, an auto parts store/towing.
