H? Funny steering wheel holder, really puts an angle on it. Wouldn't be a British model would it?

it was from Lompoc, California,it was my grandfathers ,i thought it was an H also , we are trying to find out what model he had so we can find another to restore and this is the only picture we have.

H. Looks like an early one...Pipe seat;No electrics(no light bar),crank start?....'Hi-crop?Looks like 40/42 rears,16/20" single front

Looks to me like an H with stock rear wheels and a single front, fairly common to have a single front in the west from what I understand though they are not as common here.

X2 on the NOT high-crop. Nowhere near high enough to be an HV, no drop boxes on the rear axles, and no wide front end.

The rear tires could be 40". That was an available size at the time. If they are/were, it would be a rare modification, because I don't think it was factory.

My guess if they are 40" tires is that there was a close call with the original 36" split rims, or they just didn't provide enough ground clearance for cultivating.

Those tires do look awfully all and narrow for a 10-38.

I took the liberty to down load the photo and process it a little. I squished the vertical dimension till it looked like my idea of an H in the radiator and chassis. I believe it now looks like the wheels are normal 38" X 11.00 size.
The lack of a light bar is also a visual distortion of the steering support, but could be a modification to be taller. Interesting. Jim
