Had the roof screwed down, and a sheet of steel replaced on this barn roof last week. Looked like fun, but I stayed on the ground.

Beautiful country, thanks for the photos, keep that old barn up, they don,t build them like that any more.
 
Glad to see it being kept up Bruce. Do you store heifers in there? Those old buildings have a lot more character than a coverall ever will!
 
Yes Teck7 , we run a few heifers here, and store extra hay in the barn. 4x4 round bales,3 high. The outside stored bales in the foreground of these pictures has been sold to a beef farmer@ $25.00 each. I have been having fun selling inside stored bales of grass hay @ $30.00. Hay that is fine for a horse or beef cow ,but a milk cow would turn up her nose, and say no thanks .This long winter has sent folks out looking for feed. Bruce
 
It's good to see you keeping an old barn alive. In my view a good roof is more important than a good foundation. Jim
