depends how you look at it, ya I got a more expensive filter, but now I have an hour round trip to get the right one.

The thing I don't get is, I gave him the part number for the filter I needed, watched him look it up, printed the invoice and went to collect the list I had. He billed me the proper number I needed but I ended up with this. The part number on this box is nowhere near what the number I gave him was.

The guy that was just down the counter from you is probably wondering the same thing about the filter he came home with!

A few days ago I was at a hardware/surplus store, and made the unusual request of a foot-long length each of 1/4" and 5/16" unplated logchain. I needed just a few links to complete a pair of CAT 0 hitch sway links and wasn't sure which size would work better.

I was at the back of the store looking at the chain display and one of the gals asked what I needed and she cut the 2 lengths for me and took them up to the till and said she left the price with the gal up there.

I finished shopping and went up to pay and the gal at the till said she had asked another guy if the chain links were his and he said yes and she rang them up with his other purchases and he left with them.

So they had to fill my seemingly odd request by cutting some more chain.

I wonder if the other guy actually WANTED those odd pieces of chain or misunderstood the gal at the till. STRANGE!

My good friend went to look at some pants. He saw a belt he liked and took his off to try it. He bought it and left the store. When he got to the car he realized he had his new belt but not the old one. He went back in and it was gone. It seems the gal at the counter SOLD HIS USED BELT FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORE to some guy that just walked out. Lee chased the guy through the parking lot and got his belt. How can you sell a used belt with a brand name from another store? Dumb kids.

I like it when you open the box and a used part in is there were someone return it. Had that happen couple times to me.

I had a similar deal, at NAPA told the counter guy I needed a battery for my Dodge truck. Signed the bill carried it out to the truck, drove home and removed my old battery. New one didn't even come close to fitting. Ilooked at the bill and the ____________ had entered Ford truck into the computer. When I took it back Monday, I made sure the owner and his son,both knew of the mistake! The son installed it for me there.
The idiot doesen't work there anymore. joe
