Darnit!

Engine is getting weak in my Hydro 70. It's got a 301 gasser in it now. I had it overhauled when I bought it 7 or 8 years ago, gave it a valve job a few years later.

Now, it's got a valve out on #5 and it wouldn't start this morning.

Anyone got a good diesel I can stuff in this old sister? 282 or 312 I don't care.

I've got a sweet little D239 in an old IH 5000 swather. Would that work? It would make it a 544 then, I 'suppose?

If you decide to park/'junk' it,I want that 'ice cream box' to install on my SM. I'm tired of freezing in the spring planting!
 
Too good a tractor to just junk it. I've gotta find an engine somewhere.

Allan did they ever make a good D282? LOL Think I know where there is a running d282 that the man priced to me at a thousand. Would have to check. Coming up you way first of Sept , might could bring it.
