At Little Big Horn the Indians were actually armed with better rifles than the cavalry. I always wondered how they got the ammo but I guess it was at the trading posts.

Native American tribes were wiped out not so much by weapons as by disease and starvation. Considering current attitudes about vaccination and the environment, I'd say we're our own worst enemy.

When the government "gave" the indians the Dakota area until gold was found there. Then they were moved or killed off. Now in the 4 cornors area the same thing is trying to happen again. There is coal and uranian in the area that the government wants back.
