OT More Dish TV Questions

Thanks for all the help in my last Dish Network question. I have decided my old 625 Receiver DVR has crapped out, so I plan to buy a new in the box HD DVR Dual Receiver (around $100) so have a few questions.

1) The new in the box HD with DVR Dish receivers I'm finding are Models 922 or 722 or 222. Which is the newest or best?? My guess is 922

2) I find them SLING LOADED and I find SLING ADAPTERS. What's that all about?? If I buy one that's labeled sling loaded, do I need a sling adapter or what??? I hope I can connect it to my TV?? Does it require an HDMI connection ONLY or still have the old Coax or Yellow/Red/White RCA or what??

3) Will this new receiver still work with my old Pizza Pan Dish Pro 500 dual LNB (110 & 119) orrrrrrrr must I also upgrade to a new Dish 1000.X series antenna with the 3 eyes (110 & 119 & ? for HD). Id like to just hook up my existing Dish Pro 500 dual LNB 110 & 119 antenna to this new receiver for a while, is that possible??? I have a one in two out Diseq switch thingy now where my cable from the dish connects to my receiver. I'm in Southern Indiana just barely east of where Chicago is and am on 110 & 119 currently, is that a 1000.2 or 1000.4 antenna I will need???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm NOT interested in changing to Direct

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm NOT interested in calling Dish, I own all my own equipment, I have no long term contracts, I buy what programming when and where I want month to month AND NOT INTERESTED IN CHANGING

Whewwwwwwwwww thanks in advance

1) The VIP-222 has no record capability (NOT a DVR}
The VIP-722 is a DVR. I believe both have a single OTA
(Over the Air) tuner integrated. The current 'K' suffix models
require an add on module for a dual OTA tuner.
The VIP-922 was dropped when the Hopper was introduced.
2) The 922 was 'Sling loaded' meaning there is a Sling module
built into the unit. Sling allows you to access programming
from your (in this case) Dish receiver over the internet on
your cell phone/tablet/computer if you have the Sling app
installed. Stand alone Sling Adapter is available for similar
remote use.
3) I found one forum that the poster said this about the LNBF: If "they have the DP or DP PLUS written on them. (if they do not, its a legacy twin/quad and these settings will NOT work)" Mine was a legacy lnbf. The 1000 series has the third "eye" for a third satellite which is usually where you local channels are relayed. Otherwise your main channels will still be on 110 and 119.

Hope this helps.

an't answer much, but I'm preparing to make some changes, too & found a small town business that sells & installs Dish, Direct, and HughesNet & one other. Luck find as these people seem to know what they sell/install & will sit & talk with me at length. Told me I needed a 722 (said don't get Sling or Hopper) and it will support 2 TV, one standard and one HD (said the one 722 will cover my 2 TVs & do not need the second box that I now have). Said that won't get everything if use current antenna & need 1000.2 antenna. I would look for a small local seller/installer & pick his brain.
