8N starter bendex

The retain clip on the starter failed, the result being the spring and washers fell into the casing. Any suggestion on the best way to retrieve the loose parts.

One of those magnets that looks like an ink pen,but extends out like an antenna.

Those magnets also come with a flexible lead that looks like solder; they can go down and bend around stuff, if they don"t stick to the same stuff and not reach where you want them to go. Mark

Run the magnet through a rubber hose to help keep it from
sticking to everything else on the sides. Slide it out the end
of the hose as needed once you have it down near the bottom.
