A view of the farm from the air

My youngest brother was visiting over the weekend and he brought his powered parachute with him and he got some nice pictures of the farm and surrounding area from the air. You can see my house, my older brother's house, and his dairy complex with the new barn, and my parent's house at the homestead.

Talk about coincidence. My son in law had his drone and radio controlled helicopter here yesterday. He had the camera adjusted off center and got one of the skids in every picture and there's a fisheye problem that he said he'd straighten out and email some better pictures, but here's a few of the more than 200.

Drones are pretty neat.

Didnt read your text right away, looked at the pic and wondered what the heck that big tube was, until the depth perception kicked in and I realized it was part of the drone.... Thanks for the chuckle at myself.

Neat photos, all of them.

Friend of a friend took some areal photos from a small plane after I had so,e tiling done. Those are really neat photos to me.

Interesting. I just picked up one of those Mobius action cams that are very popular with the RC helicopter set. I was amazed at the quality HD videos and hardly any noticable fish eye effect on the widest opening setting. Use it in my aircraft.

Most interesting.
I would be more interesting if you people weren"t afraid to let others know the general location of scenes.

farmerjohn; thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the ride and the view. Several years ago I purchased a ppc. The FAA has since really made it difficult for pilots; regulations up the wazoo. Few instructors, my two-seater doesn't qualify for the easier license and it hasn't seen the light of day for a long time. I hope your brother appreciated the great lighting for the video and photos. A beautiful area!

farmerjohn, thanks for the tour. Pretty country. A few years ago there was a young man in our area had one of those. He took off and landed on an abandoned drag strip. The strip is gone now, don't know what happened to the young man and his flying parachute.

This is located in western PA. Go to the search above and enter farmerjohn to bring up past posts of the new barn and photos. The new parlor is up and running, I have photos but cannot post them until my sick computer is repaired and I can get off of this laptop I am using temporarily.
