On a 1948 John Deere M, 6 volt battery, is the battery connection a negative or positive ground?

Tha books says its positive.
I"m sure its positive.
All six volt JDs were positive.
You can be positive that its positive.

In fact ALLLLLLLLL Two Cylinder John Deere gas Tractors were originally POSITIVE Ground.

So are you implying that the LPG & diesel tractors were negative ground???? :twisted:

Naw we know all JD tractors that came from factory with a generator were positive ground!!!!!!!!! :lol:

robably just holding his foot in the door for those 24v that some call "floating", but I LOVE to call "the best of both worlds...both pos gnd & neg gnd on the same tractor!" :twisted:
