I have the 'same' pic! Only the tractor is an 8N Ford. I think all boys like to sit on tractors. Some of us never 'outgrow' that!

I have a picture of me about that age on Dads H. I remember as a kid, the H being in the loafing shed, me sitting on it, looking out the big north doors at the neighbors place dreaming of farming it. Never did farm with an H but I did farm the neighbors place, but with John Deeres. I also remember my younger brother sitting on the hay pile playing with old downspout elbows. He talked into them and got an echo going trying to sound like an auctioneer. He went on to auctioneer school before he graduated from high school. I guess we all dream as kids, and sometimes our dreams come true....James

Your picture makes me think of when I was about that age. The help was in the house eating dinner and I was playing on the M. It was pulled up to the old 10 gallon overhead hand gas pump. I hit the starter like I had seen others do and it rolled the tractor right up against the pump. This would have been in 1945-6.

Even when I was 12 I would sit on every tractor on the International lot. I never touched the throttle or starter, Seems the dealer did not mind. The dealer became a very good friend. As an adult I used this businessman as business reference and also a character reference. I got my first tractor at 17 and 59 years later have that same tractor.
