Another verizon wireless problem

If you recall a few days ago we tried calling AHC# and got a reply our cell phones were out of minutes, when we had 400 minutes left.

This time I called my son, both of us have verizon cells. I get a message, son's number is disconnected. So I sent him a text using my cell and text goes through. He can call me on his cell, works just fine. I just can't call him.

Another saga with verizon wireless.

Anyone have this problem?

The problem I have verizon is the only animal that will work in the fringe area I'm in. Sometimes it won't even work. Sometimes it pings off Ill. tower instead of Indian tower. I was told AT&T won't work at all.

George, you might look to another carrier who will pay Verizon, or anybody, to use their towers. My carrier, US Cellular, is happy to pay other companies for my use of their towers.

When I make an annual Michigan trip, I get no US Cellular towers until I get back to Va. My cell reception is as good as anybody's on the entire trip.

Verizon believes they are so large with so many towers that they don't need to offer this service. As a consequence, my area is well-known as a dead spot for Verizon customers. But a dead spot only because they won't pay to use the US Cellular towers that do provide coverage.

I was in negotiations with Verizon to put a tower on my other mountain peak. When they bought Alltel, they stopped tower construction here. Verizon customers lose, until I explain that there are good alternatives. You have to live near a US Cellular tower to be able to get an account, but for us it is the answer everywhere we travel.
 
We are caught between two towers in the verizon dead zone. I'll see what happens tomorrow when I go to town. Not sure it's a tower issue when son can call me. I can text him. Definately a verizon can you hear me problem.
 
Could it be the phone your using? I had reception issues with one of mine and got a new phone and no problems since.
 
I had Verison and when my phone went and they told me the did not support that phone any longer.
My contract ran out 3 years ago They said I was due for a upgrade that would put me under for contract 2 years. I went to walmart and checked out Smart talk you can chose either Verison or AT&T. If you dont have any AT&T service in your area you might want to stay with Verison. My bill went from $70 with 600 minutes and 100 texts and A charge for any email or data average bill around $85 now switched to Strait Talk $45 Unlimited Talk, Text and Data is unlimited although it slowes down after 2Gig which I never use. The real good thing is I kept my phone number I just buy the Three month service for $130 and if my phone was good when I switched I could have used it they also have a deal where you can buy 30 days $45,90days $130 180 days $?, 360days $495 which I think i will go with some day no extra charges.
 
Call Verizon!!! They will do alot to keep you happy, believe me!! I am their worst caller, because their tower is on our ranch. Took them 2 years to admit they had a tower there.
Sometimes you have to get rude. Don't let them give you their "pat"answer.

BUT, the first thing to do is shut your phone off for a couple minutes and let it reset itself.
 
I agree, call Verizon. They can put a track on calls to and from your phone to see where the problem is. You pay for phone service and you deserve to use it.
