Our first line of defense against murders, thieves, cut throats, bill collectors.lol.
Gives us time to reach our loaded weaponry, also a good deterrent to car jacking.lol.He really putting us in the mind of our previous member, Chino Blue reposing while looking out the window. This is what he does when we say "show me your war face" AND HE'S GOT SEVERAL.lol. He's a great companion.

Lou,

I'm so glad this guy is working out so well for you. Your previous friend will never be forgotten, but this guy will help elevate your spirit.

Good looking dog. We had one that was very similar in appearance to your dog back 60 years ago when I was just a kid. His name was "Teddy" and I still remember him fondly.

My wife the dental hygienist commented on his great teeth. She brushes our dog's teeth with meat-flavored toothpaste. Dog comes over, opens his mouth for her. Only condition is that he gets to close mouth and enjoy the toothpaste a couple times during the brushing, then opens mouth for a fresh batch. Good dog.

Tom,
Thanks for the kind response. All of our four legged pals who preceded this one is never forgotten as you say. Seems some here remember what it's like to have our companions around, just seem like it's too short of time. This one here is a great friend also_Only job we require form him is his love and his exceptional keen hearing/eyesight/smell for an early bark warning. Some on here take me serious about my postings, glad to see you don't. I am glad it brought back some fond memories for you,as he does us also.
Regards,
LOU

dr sportster,
he is definitely a great asset ( his as sets where it wants to.lol).Another one that loves to show his good natured side for family and friends. Has a bark that will scare the he77 out of you if you don't expect it.But that's what we need him for, friendship, companion, buddy.I like it when my son gets down on the floor and says show me your war face, and he does.Looks vicious, but isn't. He takes all hugs and likes to be carried to the window to look out at a higher view.Spoiled? Never.Just a little barrel of laughs. Thanks for the reply.PS, any time you want to hug him,he's here.
Regards,LOU

Frank, might have to flavor them with liver,as so far thats his favorite treat. If you do the thieves won't stand a chance.lol.
Regards,
LOU

Mike,
we think the same way, call them his porcelain choppers.Only haven't had to brush them, he takes great care of his teeth, after every meal,he chews on his bone for a while to keep them shiny. wish mine was like his.lol.
Our other white wolf/shepherd we had a quite a few years ago loved his teeth brushed with doggie toothpaste, but he also loved Dr Pepper.Kind of unique, I think he ate more toothpaste than got on his teeth, but they were well taken care of.Now if man could come up with a set of choppers like that, count me in for a set.lol
Regards.

kswillie,
He's a pure bred, plush coat, German Shepherd, only 7 months old,but has us trained very well.

I'm guessing he's one of those dogs that distracts the burglars by rolling over to get his belly rubbed? LOL
A neighbour of mine has a 120# Rott chained to a doghouse.... and the damn thing launches off the roof of the doghouse and gets arrested mid-air by the chain. He broke the chain the other day when someone drove in... scared the crap out of the guy. All the dog wants is a good scratching. LOL But does he ever look intimidating.....
