well the fans , media , and the team got a lesson in humility last nite , CONNECTICUT ATE THEIR LUNCH ,,. lol !!,,.. don't follow them closely ,,hale,, they way they was all carryin on up in Lexington last few days with victory ,, I tought they already won everything ,,, didn't know they had to prove themselves again ,, APPARANTLY NEITHER DID THEY

I would hardly call a 6 point game "ate their lunch". My hat is off to UCONN for a very well played game, especially the guard play. At the same time, I am still proud of the Cats for making it that far. To be honest, I didn't expect them to get past the 2nd round. (1) National title, (2) championship games, (3) final fours, and (4) elite eights all within Cal's 5 year coaching span. I don't know any team in the country that wouldn't die to have that type of record.

But, that's why they play the game. Till next year.

First let say I'm glad UConn won but Kentucky has 5 rookie starters that play like they have been there. Kentucky is going to do very well the next few years, these guys have so much experience and their just freshmen.

You will be lucky if 1 or 2 of them stay for the next couple of years. The others will declare for the draft in the next few days. Got to get paid!!!!

The point is the best TEAM won. Kentucky has more raw talent and more future pro players but UConn played a better team game. They should have won by more than 20 points since they were much faster but they slowed down the last part of the 1st half & all of the 2nd.
Have to agree with Charles Barkley that the one and done in college basketball has ruined the NBA and spread parity in college. It takes time to learn defense, anybody can score but it takes a team and time to forge a great defense. That's why the teams with Jr's & Sr's pulled upsets in the tournament. Also some of those players used to get a degree now forget it. When was the last time Kentucky had a basketball player get a degree? UConn's best player will graduate with a degree in Sociology.

Though I predicted a KY championship (before the tournament started), I am pleased by the result.

Nothing against UK but I do NOT like Calipari.

It will be interesting to see how many of UKs pre NBA "majors" bolt.

Actually, John Hood just graduated. Darius Miller last year. That's the ones I know off the top of my head. Others have returned after jumping to the NBA to get more college credit hours. John Wall comes to mind.

I too am glad UConn won. However, before you go bragging too much on UConn and their graduation rate, just remember that "last year" they were barred from the NCAA tournament because of "failure to make appreciable academic progress". Let's face it, college basketball is a "business" and education really isn't considered.

If they stay another year to play college ball when they can make million$ in the NBA they should get a big fat F in economics.Anyway a college degree these days in a lot of things is a joke anyway, look how many college graduates can't find a job.

"ate their lunch" Wow, that"s kind of an overstatement isn"t it? If the kittens had hit their free throws UK would"ve taken #9 home from a much older, experienced team. "U CONS" still wet behind the ears compared to UK!

I was of mixed emotions, old lady friend of mine was from Connecticut, don't have much use for her or anything else from Connecticut (except for maybe my Ruger). But on the other hand the national champions ARE the ones that took us out of the tournament, makes loosing to them a little less bitter.
