Little red wagon part

The seed wagon is an M&W Little Red Wagon. I need the gears that go behind the door wheel to raise the trough doors. I have a couple of these divided wagons and only one functional door among the four doors. Kind of a pain to pry those up and down with a crowbar. I took the one off and it has an M & W stamp on it. Is there any other gear or generic that would fit or do I need to try to find a supplier for that specific gear? It is a 12 tooth 3 3/8 inch gear.

If M&W parts are unavailable or cost prohibitive,
the gear and rack can be bought through a bearing supply house, like McMaster Carr.

Typically the gear is sold as a "blank" with a small hole that will need to be machined to proper size and/or keyed.

The rack is available in various lengths that will need to be cut to length and welded or bolted on.

Just make the rack and gear. Take roller chain and weld it to flat bar stock, that is your rack gear. Then make your pinion gear out of a small sprocket that fits the roller chain you used.

The local dealer could get one from M&W roughly 14 years ago but since then they had a large auction at the factory to disperse many or all discontinued equipment parts inventory. Might get lucky and find a dealer that still has one. I recall when having a little red wagon was a farmer's status symbol.
