My brother changed the fuel filter on his new Holland LS 180 skid steer the manual tells you to pump a primer on it to get the air out of the system but they don't show you where to break line on this kind of a pump. We broke the three lines on the top of the cylinder head to try to bleed it, we're getting fuel coming out didn't see much air, it fires on a little bit of either but didn't want to stay running any ideas of what else to look for in this kind of pump to bleed and get it going. I know it's not a very good pic,

Don't have to break any lines. pump the pump and crank over may have to do it more than once. shouldn't need ether.

We tried to pump the pump, dident seem to do anything? Could the pump be bad? We bled the lines on top of the head.thanks for the info.

I'm not really sure on that machine/engine. Mine has the smaller engine with a Kiki pump. Does this machine have an electric lift pump between the tank and filter? If so... I'd just turn the key on for a minute or two and let the pump cycle some fuel. If not... I'd just put the blow to her steady until it run and let off when it starts taking fuel up.

there's an electric fuel pump on top of the filter housing. i've always just changed the filter, turn on the key for 10-20 sec, then crank it. sometimes it needs to crank over a little bit, but never had to crack a line or anything. if there's fuel in the tank and a decent battery, it should go.

Thanks, we dident know about turning the key on, manual dident say anything about that, he got it started finally.
