arrowheads and hammers and such

I tag the good ones with the date and exact location where they were found. I don't really have a desire to keep them so I sell most of them to a local collector.

Over the years I have found some very precise fossils. Two years ago I gave them to the elementary school my grandchildren attend. Their science class sent me a real nice thank you card.

If they"re "assault style" arrowheads, I call the proper authorities to make sure they are crushed into harmless gravel.

The few that we found were unloaded in the old machine shed - and I think that they are still there. Probably haven't been moved in 50 years.

This is about a third of what I have. Got to hang the rest someday.

That's a nice set. I hear farmers used to set them in the barn. Me and my dad go looking for them. I was wondering what yal did with them

Whenever I find them after excavation on construction projects I just toss them back in the hole.

When we used to find them on my Dads farm while picking stones. We lived on a small Island(11,000 acres) That was , I guess ,often visited by Indians , in the days before white settlers. The locale Indian tribe, seems to like to jump on these kinds of finds , and try to make all kinds of claims. Like old graves ,or hunt camps ect. And this can become a real pain in the butt, So ,we would just look them over , marvel at them some times. Then take then down to the lake , and throw them in! Never had any problems with Indians years later when we wanted to sell the farm. Bruce
