Vinyl repair

I use um weather strip adhesive,it comes in a tube and can be purchased at the friendly NAPA store.
I squirt a lot of it in the tear and while its still vet I cover it with black plastic tape, and it makes a good repair.
The adhesive comes in black or yellow.

Find a local truck tarp repair shop. They sell a patch kit with material in different colors and adhesive you can heat down with a heatgun or hair dryer.

I tried this black Gorilla Tape brand duct tape, andit holds for a while... not really a good fix.

School bus repair vinyl is amazing stuff. Look online - there are kits. It wear like iron and isn't sticky at the edges or rolls up like tape.

we had a bus business a few years back and the kids would cut the seats. We bought a product from thomas bus company that was like glue but once repaired the seats were looking new and did not open back up. I don't recall the products name but i'll bet the school bus company in your area will know

The product I used was a thick liquid gel that you applied in thin layers and then heated to cure it. It came from Thomas Bus. You just applied as many layers as needed to make a good repair. For larger holes you put a piece of vinyl under the hole before doing the repair. Once painted with color matched paint it is very difficult to find where the repair was made.
