Jon, Being retired I have to reply with a line from Edgar Allen Poe....
Quoth the Raven....nevermore.

My Dad (1899-1969) used to recite a ditti from his childhood:
I diggidi ditch to earna de mon to buyidi food to getti di strength to diggidi di ditch."

You speak the truth!

I've been tempted to look occasionally, and even been offered a job outright in the 18-odd months I've been retired.

Fortunately, a couple of aspirin and a nap take care of that urge...

Fer Shure. On two different occasions during my working life, I ruined perfectly good hobbies by turning them into work.

LOVED dinking around with computers. HATED being the IT guy for a newspaper and a school system. Can't hardly stand the thought of messing about with a screwed-up computer anymore.

Hello Fawteen

I BEEN RETIRED FOR ALMOST 8 YEARS & I SILL DON T DO ANYTHING I DON T WANT TOO .
Wife ISN T ALWAYS TO Happy BUT Oh WELL .
Come nap time & I lay down for my snooze.

Been retired 7 years. has been the best years of my life ( except for the 2 "cancer years"). The wife comes in and says" aren't you going to do something today?" She doesen't remember the hundreds of days I got up, made my breakfast, packed my own lunch,In the winter sometimes plowed the drive, then went into the bedroom and kissed her goodby.I then drove 50 or up to 135 miles to work, put in 8 or more hours then drove home. Yes sometimes they remember EVERYTHING but don't remember it all.
rant over joe
