Larry, I have to laugh every time I see that rusty "gagging" tractor with a face only Sweetfeet could love. Am adding "railroad" and "rainbow".

Hey,I wondered where I'd ever work this rail road picture in. Thanks for reminding me. That was looking across Pearl Lake in Sheridan WAY before my time.

W-a-y before your time... I can't say that. When I was a kid (born in '44) there was a railroad track a similar distance as your picture from where I grew up. Sometimes you could see smoke before the train came in sight. I used to sit in the yard and count cars. I also remember the first time a diesel engine train went by. Just wasn't the same. Then during the '60's the tracks were gone too.

Ya,what makes it even older is that that picture is looking west when the tracks ran north and south. In my earliest recollections they ran east and west. The old rail road bed is still there north and south,we used to ride snowmobile on it,but the east west tracks are even gone now.

Thanks for starting.I started today's before I
scrolled down to find this.So now we have two 'R'
topics.Sorry for the oversight.

Morning to ol' Rusty! I love the J and R days for the junk and rust that shows up here. :)

No.I'd have to look it up again since my memory sucks, but it ran from Ionia,up through Cooks Corners,Shilo,Shanty Plains,Fenwick and Sheridan up to Stanton.

Well, they are obviously doing a better job because they are Red tractors. hehehe... :)

I'll be raking with my Super C at the neighbors this year rather than with the Ferguson. Their rake is sooooo messed up that you have to use the three point ( or in this case FH two point ) to lift/lower the rake, so in the picture I am trying to keep the three point arms in the right spot, NOT a fun game! That rim, someone cut something off it with a torch, just a warning about Pyrolysis, check out the video in the attached link, not a good practice at all, weld or cut with torch on any rim with a tire mounted, inflated or not mounted, inflated, just loose around a rim, according to the spokesperson for Bridgestone. Maybe you or that someone is aware, but if not, this is worth learning about, its hard to believe the pressure and heat acceleration, from what seems to be a negligible amount of heat applied to the rim.

Likewise I'm addicted to RR. Grow Preludes,Carolines,Heritage etc. How do you put them in jars like that?
