Please say You photoshopped this>
However, I once investigated a house fire
where they ran an extension cord along the
edge of the bath tub to the A/C unit in the next room!

Nice, you could run the shower cold on a hot day so you didn"t trip the overloaded air conditioner circuits, would save lots of trips to reset a tripped breaker.

The hinge on a shower panel should always face the shower head. Code article: 999999.999..1 They better filp that panel cover around. Exception 1 :panel cover submerged in hot tubs may face either direction.

Shower curtain rod should be grounded/ bonded with the shower head. Maybe an outdoor rated panel should be used :)

About 8 or 10 years ago I went to look at a bathroom remodel. I met my plumbing contractor at the location. The home owner had instructed us to enter the enclosed porch without knocking, then ring the door bell by the front door. The enclosed front porch was filled with garbage bags and it smelled like urine.
The owner's daughter answered the door. She said to follow her. We proceeded through the living room. There was a 2' wide path. There were clothes piled at least 6' high on either side of the path. The next room was probably originally a dining room but they were using it as a tv room. The path widened out to about 6'. There was a couch and TV. The rest of the room was piled at least 6' high with clothes. The path narrowed back to 2' as we got to the kitchen. The kitchen actually wasn't too bad. Off the kitchen was a small hallway. The bathroom was off the hall. There was a 6' long vanity. It was loaded with every kind of can, bottle, or tube you can imagine might be in a bathroom. You know what coins look like that have been brought up from ancient ship wrecks? Well there were coins on the vanity top. They were all corroded together. By this time I was thinking I don't want the job but the plumber was gung ho to do it. Among other things, the owner wanted a whirlpool tub. I wanted to look at the breaker panel to see if there was capacity to add a circuit for the tub. The girl said the panel was in the basement. I went down to the basement. Every wire, or pipe had clothes hanging from them. All dresses and long coats. The floor was littered with dog feces. They had 5 dogs and didn't like letting them go outside in the winter! I couldn't find the breaker panel. Went outside and found the meter location. Back to the basement....no panel. Back outside to measure from the corner of the house to the meter. Went back downstairs and measured. Came up with the same location as before....a shower. I opened the shower curtain and right there on the back wall of the shower was the breaker panel!!!! I STRONGLY suggested they remedy that situation and refused to bid on the job.

I did a rewire on a house that had a 60 amp fuse panel at the "foot" of the tub. I don't remember if it had a shower head or not.

House calls are a lot of fun, you cannot believe some of the stuff I have seen. Geese running free in a house comes to mind. I was glad the call was for the porch light and all I had to do was replace the switch just inside the door. Told the boss I wouldn't go there again.

That picture is or could be a joke, but back in the 40s-50s-early 60s,if the panel was on the main floor.40-50% chance it was in the bath room(if one)or was in the kitchen next to or over the sink.We bought a house in 1970,that still had 60A 110 service in it.Old lady who had gas service and didn't need much.So those things were or still out there.

Tell JT it was installed by his buddy, BUBBA and BILLY BOB. Their first job. Bubba told Billy Bob to turn the door around to keep water out, but he didn't listen.

I actually saw where a load center was installed in a bathroom, it was a bucket of rust. Breaker contacts were rusted, buss bar in bad shape.

So, whats the problem???? Except you need a NEMA 3R outdoor panel and big No 4 bare copper Equipment GroundING Conductors ran to all the steel and plumbing to keep it at the low voltage reference geeeeeeeeeeeee some people LOL
