used to see them around just sitting, now that i need to borrow one that actually works there isnt one to be found out here, i have a old ih model from the 50's not even complete anymore, got to spread over 20 acres in town does any company rent them?

Check around your local machinery dealers. Around here, there are several companies that rent them out, then you clean them out and return them and pay the bill....

Many of the old ground driven models around here have been
gutted to use as wood haulers. They're narrow and have large
tires so they work very well for getting in and out of the woods.
I looked for a long time before I found one in working order.

in town, the rich folks decided they want to put manure on their 20 acre common area, i cant convince then there not going to like that when it gets wet, so they want me to spread it, [ one of them saw my spreader out here] the fact that its a broken piece of junk doesnt compute to them, and the fact that my old rotary hoe has wooden bearings and hasnt been used since the 1960's doesnt go over either, they want me to do the job and then run the hoe over it too, so i have to find actual working models of this equipment now
