The "Partial" flume is really a 'Parshall' Flume.named after the man who invented it as a means to uniformly measure water.Sorry for the misspell/confusion....The one shown is a 9".They come anywhere from 1"(3" is the smallest I've seen) to several feet wide.

I don't know what it is about those Comfort Kings, when those were new,I thought they were the best looking tractor ever.

Thanks! I made the first pair 15 years ago.Lost em-twice! now they are gone :( Have made 10-15 of them over the years.Gifts, even sold a pair or two...I call it the 'Spinden's Farm Tool'.

That is a nice looking couple of Fords. I always thought they looked unique. A local mechanic here put one of those motors in an older 70s Ford pickup. Got about 26 mpg. He was a mechanical whiz.

I need you to drop that rig off at my house for a couple of days this spring.
Going to pull the roof off my house and go up a story. That would do the job nicely.

Pitiful! McDonald's workers can't make change even when the amount is right in front of them. I think at the time there was only one drive through in Pleasant Hill. LOL

That's the total amount of pheasants seen in Iowa in the last ten years. Don't know how they fared this winter.....wouldn't have thought it was good.

Pumpkin chunkin machines fling or toss pumpkins. There are contests with different types of chunkin machines, some are air cannons, some catapults and other. The object is to see who can build a machine to fling a pumpkin the farthest distance without them flying apart at launch. Air cannons seem to shoot the farthest, I think the record is around 3/4 mile.

Lifts 33 feet high beats carrying up a ladder. We have a newer one we use on jobs so this one is just used for my sawmill.
