Got some gusty fairly strong wind out of the south today. I don't known if these pictures show it very clearly, but I think we're getting some of your topsoil today.

We had 50 mph winds today. Fire got away from nieghbor to the south.Had the wind been a few more degrees out of the west , I'd have lost most everything.Had cattle calving in the pasture where the fire went through ,but was able to move them before the fire got here.Close call.

That's fortunate for you. Fire departments here have been busy all afternoon. Had a controlled burn 3 days ago that lit up again, must have been a log on fire. Then had a 3+ department grass fire 20 miles south that they are fighting at the moment. I'm guessing our winds are similar in speed to yours.

Here in NWIA a field that was not planted last year was giving up lots of topsoil to it's neighbors today. I had the assumption a cover crop had to be planted on prevented planting land to prevent this, but maybe not. Jim

They are saying 45 mph gusts tonIght in NEKS. We"ve had just enough rain to make everything stick to your boots. I fed hogs and had to spend 10 minutes getting my boots clean enough to put on the back porch. This will put off field work for a while.

Less water should make for easier fishing :) seems the winds coming around to out of the west now.

I don't think any KS dirt slowed down as it came by my place in NE. It just stirred up some of mine and headed for South Dakota! Not a nice day to be out on the 2440 with no cab today....

45 mph or so yet tonight and we need rain. Have some in the forecast, but I heard that all winter too.

Last Thursday or Friday had a 6000 acre fire a few counties south of me in the Flint hills. This afternoon the wind did get with it.

Must have been the wind that went through AZ yesterday...had pic of a big dust storm by Tucson on the news this morning. It's been calm up here, forecast rain never showed up the last two days, so I got all my fieldwork done.
