I know i should just shut up and forget about it people dream everyday! But my cousin told me about tractor along a road forsale said it was a 1466 go check it out! Ok! After work i took the long way home to go check out this tractor! Sure enough yep its a 1466 white cab no air conditioner! Cab rusted out doors bent carpet covering all the holes front end needed work! Three point could use some attention! Front tires bald dry rotted wheels rotted out cause of calcium! Back tires bald bald bad and rotted duels same thing! Figured 6500 to 7000 dollar tractor figured the guy would tell me 8500 or 9 grand! Nope 13500! I dont get were these people get these prices! Oh well!

Its their tractor, they can ask any price they want.
If they find a sucker, so what? If a person don't do their home work, maybe they vill learn the hard way.

I just priced new rears for the 1586. Figured I would move the current tires to the dual rims. When they passed $2000 on the adding machine I told them they could stop. I'll get by with what I got, they aren't that bad.

From my experience with those guys they are so ignorant, that everybody is a low ball moron, funny thing is probably 20 guys will laugh at them when they ask. Go Figure !. Bet it"s still there in 10 years at that price!

A neighbor of mine bought a nice original 1466 with 4500 hours,white cab,air,duals.It still had good paint and like new rubber for 10000 at a farm auction.

call those people shisters and usually have a real attitude when you offer them a FAIR price. wow vhat idiots!

...and you havn't even heard it run yet or driven it...probably more like a $4500-$5000 tractor at best.

It sounds like the guy wants a lot of blue sky along with the tractor. My experience has been when someone wants an outrageous price for something, write a fair price or what you will give on paper ,with your name and number and give it to them . You never know when the guy gets a reality check , he may call. If they don"t call no skin off my back, but I have ended up with several items this way . I have found with some of these people , that if they have it for sale its gold price , and if you have something they want to buy they will offer scrap or salvage price. JJ.

1. Seller honestly does not know what the tractor is worth, and may be willing to listen to reason.

2. Seller knows what the tractor is worth, but is shooting for the moon hoping for a fool to come along and buy the "pwetty wed twaktor!"

3. Seller does not know what the tractor is worth, but has seen other tractors like it for sale at that price, and is convinced that his is also worth that much, not a penny less.

4. Seller does not really want to sell the tractor, either consciously or unconsciously.
