Someone is dumping tires on me they back up to my bottom gate and throw them over into pasture. Last summer I had 35 I had to pay to dispose of after I got rid of them 6 more showed up in Nov so I hauled them away two weeks ago I get another 6 this is really getting old, I have two deer cameras but am afraid they might disappear if I put them up. Thinking about sign that says Don"t Dump Tires Here! Some people got alot of nerve

Camo the cams. I read in the paper that a guy had a game cam that emailed you the photos. That would be a good feature if you had pre-retrieved photos by email of the camera being stolen..

I heard a story about a guy that was trespassing on posted property. He was photographed by a trail cam. Good picture of the guy and taken at pretty close range. The land owner enlarged the photo and laminated it and hung it up right next to the posted sign on the gate. The guy was for sure to be able to see it and become aware of being caught in his actions next time he came around. Far as I know, that pretty well ended the problem. Just thought it was pretty clever the way the land owner handled it.

unfortunately it is a problem in a lot of rural areas.i don't think i would pay to get rid of them i would call the county they should pick them up they did for me anyway or throw them in the ditch and let them worry about it (not your tires just the ones that were dumped lol).

I would at least try and get the person over litter control involved. Depending on how determined he is,he can find the perp. You are looking for a small operator that has no license to lose if caught. Car dealer, service station or fleet owner. Type tires is a lead in itself.

Had that happen. Town sent me a notice I would be fined if I didn't clean up garbage and tires(I didn't know it was there). I'm a builder and have to work with code enforcement almost daily so didn't want to argue otherwise I would have pointed out that it was on town road right of way(in the ditch) and they provided access and they should clean it up. Cost me about $100 just for tire disposal.

Somebody is dumping tires, gas tanks now brush on me. It is at a crossroads and in plain view of at least three houses, nobody sees a thing.

Just be thankful, friend of mine has a creek crossing the road by him, and he gets very nice sofas, refrigerators, micro-waves...

If you move them to the ditch, then you could be charged for littering too!
Complain to the county office.
I like the posting the picture idea too, but I would also send it to the local paper too!

We have that problem occasionally. There isn't any municipal trash pickup out here. You have to pay to get your trash picked up. Some folks don't want to pay. So they do the red neck thing and dump trash on their neighbors.

Let me just say, I am not proud of the way i handled a similar situation, but at the same time...it worked!!!!! Since I am retired, I have lots of time on my hands, so I decided to sit by the wayside on my property on Saturday night(when it usually happened)with my 12 gauge, 3 inch chamber and wait. Well, sure enough at 2:15 somebody stops, unloads their tires. I shot 3 shots in the air and told them to reload the tires and never come back. They never saw me, and since then, no problem. Was that proper? No! Did it work? Yes

We have the same problem, only it's tires , shingles, couches and whatever else you have to pay to dispose of it. I just call the municipal office and they send someone to clean it up.
We had a whole pickup load of shingles dumped last year. Before the town got there to clean it up someone dumped a couch and set it on fire and got the whole works burning.Burns my butt people do this. As far as I'm concerned it's the towns problem because they keep charging more to take stuff to the dump.still no excuse!

Early in the winter I saw that someone had dumped a big hot tub in a field not far from me. A few weeks ago I noticed it was gone....it was moved to another field about 3 miles away.

We've always had problems with people dumping stuff in our dumpsters on jobsites. One time a drywall contractor had his employees dump a bunch of scrap drywall in our dumpster....while we were there working. I took the keys out of their truck and told them they could have them back once they took their stuff out of my dumpster. They refused. They left on foot and came back about an hour later with their boss. The boss and two workers showed up looking like they were in a fighting mood. We were in the garage. As they walked up the driveway my Dad asked me if I thought those three guys looked dumb enough to think they could take two of us? They stopped in their tracks. The drywall contractor looked at my Dad, looked at me, looked back at Dad and apologized and told his guys to get their garbage out of the dumpster.

As for the OP's problem....Talk to the road commissioner. He might haul the tires away.

As long as the only injury was to their underpants I'd say there was nothing wrong with it. Just the slide being racked on a shotgun can have such effects on people on a really dark night.

Good game camera, hidden well. Make sure it is a modern version that uses infrared, no flash that will give its location away.

Take the pictures to the sheriff and tell him you want the offenders prosecuted.

I got the license # of a bunch from town dumping, must have been 40 years ago. They got fined $125, and back then that was pretty steep.

The dumping stopped after word got around.
