OT: "Trespassing" in Town

I probably just open the flood gates for some vandalism or theft. An able bodied young man (mid 20's, lives a couple streets over) keeps cutting through several of my neighbor's yards and probably cuts the corner on mine from time to time. He's been doing it for awhile, but I finally had the chance to see him doing it today. I asked him if he knew what "private property" was. He said yes and said he would find another route. I thanked him and he kept mumbling and cussing as he walked away and then promptly cut through the neighbor's yard on the other side of the street.

We'll see how this goes. I've finally turned into the old man sitting on the porch yelling at kids to stay off the lawn! (Honestly, if he was still a "kid" I wouldn't have said anything.)

There are ways around this dork that likes to walk all over everybody.

1. Get a big dog that will run right at him barking.........The guy may crap his drawers.

2. Post signs and call the cops.

That was a great movie, especially when Ole Clint puts that M1 Garand in the face of that Oriental gang banger.

Helped a neighbor solve this problem on some rental property
he has. You need about 4 to 6 rose bushes were he like to
cross. I promise they will stop the passing through.

When I was a kid in Florida, there was a guy that grew a "fence" using yucca plants.
One night, he walked in to find a burglar in the house.
The robber ran outside, and into the yucca fence.
He was skewered by the plants, and died from his injuries.
Boo Hoo!

Have a neighbor leaving proof crossing line at a posted sign, call cops and all they do is warn ME to stay off his land or I'M the one to be arrested.
For my fun after he refused to stop snowblowing over the line I put most of the snow from a 15 car driveway so close to the line it should melt real nice into his driveway.

(quoted from post at 08:57:18 03/23/14) Is he walking, on a bike, in a car, What?

He's just walking. I'm sure he's probably just trying to save himself a few steps, but we have sidewalks.

That would certainly be a surprise! I don't want to "hurt" anyone, but I think he should definitely consider having some manners.

I'm sure I probably had my share of "Dennis The Menace" moments as a kid, but this "kid" isn't nearly as endearing as "Dennis The Menace". It has just probably never occurred to him that cutting through everyone's yard to make a straight line to get where you want to go instead of using the sidewalk is just bad manners.

My wife was the "cleaning person" at a local rental
property. I think there were 8 small apartments in
the 2 story building. A local lady, she was a
teacher at the school, would walk to the grocery
store and would walk THROUGH this building, instead
of walking around it. I guess the shortest
distance between 2 points IS a straight line, but
you can't walk around the building?

That is what I was thinking. If he went through my front door and out the back, it would probably save him a few more steps! It at least would be warm in winter and cool in summer.

"The economy sucks, so don't expect a warning shot"

Thats the sign at the end of our drive way, actually got robbed by a friend of mine once, and he was basically watching our moves, so he knew that we were gone every Wednesday, well about two months after he hit us, he was out of weed money, and decided to COME BACK!! Well, mom was gone, but after the robbery she had told me to stay home and "watch" the place.

Well, he came crusin down the drive way, and tip toed down the deck and looked in all the windows (I was hiding) and then he opened the front door and he had ONE foot in when he looked up and found a 44 mag pointed at his snout! I looked at him and said "would you like to come in? I wouldn't mind.) He turned around and R A N like crazy, jumped in his car a left, and he ain't come back yet!

As my buddy says: An action will only be stopped by a greater aggressive reaction.

Stay Safe! Bryce
