calibration chart

Not sure what you mean by calibration...

A scale on the side denoting gallons?

here is a volume calculator for cylinders.

I think that will get cubic feet, there are 7.5 gal per cu ft if I remember correctly.

Your calibration has to be checked when you set the tank, the charts aren't universal. They are specific to each installation. They write the charts by pumping various known amounts of water into the tank and reading the stick, then can figure the readings in between from there.

The amount of milk in a tank is measured by pulling a dipstick, reading it in inches or CM/MM, then finding that measurement on a chart, which will tell you in pounds, how much milk is in the tank, figured from an 8.6lb/gallon standard. He needs that chart.

Ya,the tank serial number will be on the chart. Here in Michigan,Michigan Milk Producers Association has a truck that they send out to calibrate a tank. If you have a tank without a chart, they'll do a full calibration and make a chart for that specific tank.

My milk inspector said if I could find a chart for that brand and model tank it would be close enough to use until they could get here to calibrate my tank. Thanks for all your replies

I had a 400 Mueller with several copies of the chart, but I don't know that one of those would do you any good even if I could find one.
