Always wished I'd served our country - but since I never did, I appreciate those that do that much more.

Takes a special kind of person.

He makes us all proud.

Big adventures lie ahead. Get your Hong Kong shopping list to him ASAP. Here's wishing him a happy voyage.

Congrats Steve and he will have time of his life. Thank him for his service.

Anchors aweigh!!

For you non-salts out here - the word "weigh" in this sense comes from the archaic word meaning to heave, hoist or raise. "Aweigh" means that that action has been completed. The anchor is aweigh when it is pulled from the bottom. This event is duly noted in the ship's log.

He'll be fine. Don't worry, that is unless things get really bad with Russia. Hope he has a safe, uneventful deployment.

Sure will pray for him.
Thank him for serving our country.

You and your wife and your son
have a lot to be proud of!

Steve: You should be real proud of that young man. I am sure he will do a fine job. He will be a better man for it as well. We are a better country because of his service. So he deserves all our Thanks and Prayers.

I also wish his a safe deployment.

Steve,
Please tell your son THANK YOU for his service. He is a very brave young man. You and the mrs. must be proud. My son did 2 tours of duty in Iraq/Kuwait in the last 4 years with the Minnesota National Guard. His 6 years is up now. But my wife and I are proud of his accomplishments also. Great pic of the fine young man too.
