Steering Box Lube

I am planning to put the steering box back together on the MH44 this weekend. I want to put lube in it that is not to thin, but will lubricate the lower bushing. I think corn head grease might not get down into the bushing.

I make my own for my Farmall; whip up a 50-50 blend of 90 weight gear oil and red wheel bearing grease, in a coffee can with a coat hanger in my drill. Make it as thick or as thin as you like, I like 50-50. My concoction never has separated, works great. I never have done this, but you probably could add fine sawdust as a thickener, the possiblities are endless.
