Scrap iron thieves

You are correct, no death penalty in Iowa. Not all of us Ioweagens agree with that philosophy however. It is sad that they would rather steal and kill, rather than get a job and work for wages.

The do gooders have made many think they can do anything and get away with it.

I am all for public hangings. Also swift justice too. There is no reason for it to take years to convict and remove people from harming others.

Here two senior citizens are killed by low live. I would love to see them swing. It should be right out in the public view too. That may stop a few others from happening.

I also think it is sad that they post the pictures of the killers but not the victims. This makes the killers seem like celebrities to some.

Also us as taxpayers now have inherited the bill for their legal defense plus their housing and care for the rest of their lives!!!

And some people wonder why i carry a ah GROUND HOG rifle and a pistol on the tractor when i am out . Yes i have had several encounters with people being where there were not suppose to be and have been threatened by a couple GROUPS of guys that were where they were not suppose to be and got vary upset when confronted Till you proved that they may out number ya but that you could even things out faster then they could move . The one old farmer that i rented his ground told me that yep i'll rent ya this ground but you never ever come down here by yourself with out a gun . It was not long before i figured out why .

Great, they got them, I hadn't heard that yet.
So sad that everyone looses. Those knuckleheads have got parents somewhere that are grieving, too. How would we feel if one of them was one of our own kids.

That thought crossed my mind too. They are going to be losing their kids and the hopes and dreams they had for them. I also feel bad for them. Like someone else said its bad when you are willing to kill/die for a pile of junk. I wonder if they brought the gun or the landowner did? Doesn't matter, just curious.

i agree with jd seller i can't imagine that for any reason let alone scrap what a p.o.s. and they should be treated as such if it was my kid it would be hard but you MUST be responsible for your own actions an eye for an eye.

We just had a 19 year old kid sentenced to life without parole here in Iowa for killing his guardians/grandparents. He was 17 at the time and had studied ways to kill them and wore ear protection when he did it. You gotta wonder what on earth would posses him to do a thing like that. A total waste of life.

Perhaps the parents are why the children are the way they are.
There are plenty of parents that are wastes of skin.

There are no easy answers to issues like these. The closest to perfect I can come is for the victim, the old folks in this case, to have been armed in the first place.

My grandparents lived in Crawford County before they moved to ND in 1918. Still have a few distant relatives there.
