More Texas tractor finds..

Just get back to Pa and I get a call from Texas. This guy has 9 Farmall M's and a JD 3010, all LPs. Of all the states in the nation, Texas seems to have more old tractors than anywhere else. Now what do I do with them? Also the little Mrs. won't take it well if I hit the road again.

yep, big state, lots of farmland, and where I"m situated too, but the cornbelt (especially Ill and Iowa) have lots of tractors. I have found more smaller units down south, (smaller farms), and the BIG stuff is in Kansas and Nebraska.

If I bought 9 M's, I'd stop off on the way home and get a hammock to string between a couple of them, because that's where I'd be bunking. . .

went to texas about a year a go to get one tractor but got three tractor form the old guy on the way home to ks I put a for sale sign on them every time I stop to eat and get gas sold two of them help me out

Actually we own a place above Snyder, Tx and it makes for a good staging area. We rehome some of the tractors in Tx, but most come back to Pa. Lately I hooked up with a guy who cleans up abanoned ranches and he calls me when he gets some.

I was always suspect of down south tractors being rode hard and put away wet. But those kind are everywhere.

During WW2, my dad hauled our castoffs from central IL to MI and KY.
