Looking for a smart guy to help me with my tractor. Will not start . Battery checks ok fuses are ok, no power at when you turn on the key, lights won"t work. The manual talks about a open circuit in engine switch coil. Any ideas would be appreciated. Im guessing some type of relay

Have you checked and made sure the PTO level is not just a BIT engaged. My 7305 is bad about that.

Thanks for the heads up. Basically I have a PTO button I will cycle it and try again.

If that doesn't work get your VOM or test light and start checking for power, start at the battery positive terminal and keep checking down the line until you find out where the power stops.

We bought one like that for $50 last fall, wife got on the internet and the most common problem was the headlight wires short out and blow a fuse. that's exactly what it was, taped up the wires and a new fuse and it started! There were a few other issues with it but I took care of them and we are going to take it to the cabin this spring.
Have you tried jumpering the solenoid to verify the starter/battery are OK?

Have you checked/cleaned/tightened ALL FOUR battery cable connections? Have you checked battery voltage?
