Planted more garden today

Used the 51 Case VAC to disc where I bottom plowed with the 52 8N several weeks ago. Laid off the rows with the 42 JD H and pushed in 4 rows of sweet corn. Will wait a few weeks to plant green beans.
I dug into my potato rows and they are putting out shoots already.
Was 77 degrees yesterday and slapped a monster mosquito on my hand and he was already full of MY BLOOD. Also got bit by a fire ant when hooking up the disc. So much for the cold weather killing many insects.
The dog had just taken a swim in the pond before this photo.

Just rub it in. Supposed to get any where from rain to 12" snow tonight.
I don't wanna know how deep the frost line is right now.

That's just not fare. We are hunkering down for another major snow event ariving Wed morning, upwards to 12", and back in the teens on Thur., here in Central NY.
We've had the maples taped for 3 weeks, and have yet to collect any sap. Just too cold. Maybe next week it will warm up, lol

At least you won't mistake our dog for a bear. Its the little one, now grown up (to a robust 7 lbs.)- the German Shepherd passed on last summer.

No snow here, temps in the 60's. But when you walk on the lawn, you squish. Can't even mow with a rider, you'll make ruts. And the garden? I dug a shovelful to spade up a place for the peas, and the hole filled with water. I guess its always something.

I (and probably Spook) still have at least a foot of snow on the garden, and supposed to be another 10" on the way tonight through tomorrow. I did buy some seeds yesterday. My cousin turned me on to Roma bush beans, and they are hard to find, so I got some. I and the grandkids love them, but SWMBO is not so interested in them.
