Rural King, TSC. Agri Supply

There is a ag store that is near Petersburg- Richmond Va, called Agri Supply. I pass by occasionally, 200 miles from me, and I love their inventory. A true ag store, wheel hubs, bearings for implements, wheels, plow points, disc coulters of every size, Home and garden supplies, clothers, gloves and a little of everything in cluding a lot of 3 pt. implements, augers and tanks. Some frills lots of cast iron cook pots, BBG grills, dog boxes for the hunter. I think it may be a southern company as I have never seen one further north. They have a catalog A very good store.

I am 500 miles from Agrisupply, and make it a point to stop any time I am within 50 miles. They have a mail order business too.

I buy bulk bolts at TSC, and anything that I need on a Sunday when the real hardware stores are closed.

I've ordered stuff from them. I like their selections to. Just wish they were closer to me. Can't ship some of the chemicals.

Great store! Over an hour drive from my house but worth the ride for some things. They are very good to deal with on the phone and internet sales. If you are making a long trip to the Petersburg VA store, stop by the keystone tractor and truck museum which is nearby.

Around here we have a TSC, Runnings just moved into a bigger store locally, and there is a single store called C & S, and they just announced a Mills Fleet and Farm is breaking ground this spring.

That is cool, Mills is a good one. Both Runnings and Mills have about 35 stores in the upper Midwest, regional chains.

I was in a Blair's I think in Iowa once, that was similar, good store.

I grew up in a town in SC that had an Agri-Supply. Ruined me! One thing I learned about them - most of their inventory *doesn't* show on-line. If you need something you can't seem to find, call them up and ask! Odds are they have it stashed in some back warehouse.

Most of their sales people are very familiar with farm equipment, too - that's pretty unusual now days!

They're the best place I've found to buy mower blades, too!

I'm about 50 miles from an Agri Supply and they just built a TSC about 15 miles away. Agri supply makes TSC look like a gas station. If you want books about horses, John Deere advertising merchandise, and some overpriced feed, TSC is your store. They do have some good stuff though. There is another local one called Big Blue. It is more geared toward agriculture than TSC, but usually has half of what you need.

Like any smart retailer Fleet Farm stocks what sells.
I'm within about 20 miles of 3 of them here in the Metro.
But alas, they're not stocking much farm stuff here any more. Used to be they had plow shares, shins, moldboards, cultivator shovels, rake teeth, sickle teeth, etc, etc.
None of that stuff now. Though they do still have a good supply of UTF, Hyd fluid, lube oil, a few hitch pins and hyd hoses and the like.
Slim pickins on in stock tractor front tires now too.
Mostly clothes, candy, peanuts, hunting/fishing items, pretty good bolt selection, paint, batteries. I like Fleet Farm and do go there but not much stuff there to justify the word Farm in their name any more.

I went to that very store to get some parts for an off brand rotary cutter.
They matched up everything I needed and the pricing wasn't bad.
Worth the drive.

I kinda guessed it would be tat way in the metro stores. The Owatonna one still has a full farm line.

Hope the Mankato one will as well.
