This one is for Larry@Stinescorner, seeing he is a nice guy and even though he always ribs me about my Masseys and I rib him back.....I thought I would get him some blue for a change.....!!! Look at those poor parts guys in the last pic ...completely worn out selling parts! The oldest guy is only 39! LOL This was the Ford and Fordson stand at Malvern Show last weekend. By the way I did not see many of them with blue wheel centres????......Sam

FLOLD Come over here and buy one, they are all too small and old for our farmers today, so they have ended up in the vintage lots and are being sold for export!.........

We had a Ford 5000 Row Crop when I was a Kid, I would like to have one now to run the haybine and the rake.

Great pics. Can anyone explain the 6 lug rear wheels on the 4000 in picture #7. Every thousand series I recall was always 8 lug.

Rick

Neat pictures. Nice looking Fords and Im not really a Ford guy lol. My cousin years ago had a toy 9600 Ford...that thing was a beast. Always thought the fenders were neat.

The majority of early 4000s here were 6 bolt centres, although 8 bolt was an option. Around about 1974 the 8 bolt became standard........Sam

Great pics Sam,
1967 Ford 5000 diesel is my main work tractor. A real work horse for medium HP tractor. They will last forever is taken care of. They consistently sell for about $6,00 here.

Thanks Sam. I know the early 4000s were the small 8 lug, pre-65 I think. Must be the 3 cylinders, post 65 were 6 lug.

Excluding the 4000 SU. Smaller 8 lug, if I remember.

Then in 74-75, they are 8 on 8 (large 8 lug).

A few Ford guys can probably chime in with all the changes over the years.

Rick

Nice pictures. Do you have any more of the County Hi Crop. I'd like to know how they fabricated the drop boxes on the rear axle.
