Anybody need snow?

We've had a bunch of snow over the past week, the most we've had since we've lived here. Some of the old timers tell me it's the worst they ever seen. It's right in the middle of calving for a lot of folks so it does't help when the temperatures go below zero and we have windchills in the 20 to 30 below. There was even an avalanche in Missoula yesterday that destroyed a house and buried three people. Fortunately they were rescued and survived.(See link below)
We are fortunate not to have the high winds where we are at but friends a five miles away have 8 foot drifts in the driveways and are unable to get out of their homesead. I've spent the last few days blowing snow and plowing the driveways and blowing lanes in the pastures so I can feed the cows. We'll start calving in about a month so I hope Spring gets here soon.

Where the he** is global warming when you need it!

We were supposed to get another foot plus over the next couple days now they say its going south of us, but I was pushing it back to make more room. Now 2 to 4 or 3 to 5 inches. We have plenty thank you.

Go ahead and send it my way, we had a good hard snowey winter, but I'm just not ready for spring yet! I dread those hot humid 90* days :(

We've had more than our share. Snowshoes are the order of the day if you are out walking, hunting, or to fill the bird feeder.

No Thanks! In north central Ia we have around 12in+ and a couple weeks ago we had none plus 50deg.temps.The bitter cold has frozen many pipes in town and they are recommending leaving water run and they will not charge extra. The large cracks in ground with no cover until now have caused many problems.I have a Wildcat snowblower on 200+H.P.MFD w/loader and have been busy as some of the snow is 5ft deep and smaller blowers cant handle it.Our biggest problem is our chill factor is around 25below and calving season has started and you only get one chance to save them so every 2 hours we are checking and so far we have been able to not miss any.

the warming is here , i read a few days ago that nm is in the worst drought since 1880, here onthe farm ive had 1/4 inch of snow all winter, ill take all you want here

I hope you guys don't mind but it's 75F down here today...he says as he slowly sneaks out of the room....

They are not even delivering newspapers here! We got three days newpapers including todays in our box this morning. In the last 10 days we've gotten 4 newspapers. Of course there's nothing but bad news to read so I guess it's just as well.
We went to Mass this morning and barely made it out to US93 and when we did it was snow and ice covered.

It's also been snowing all afternoon!
