my world is constricting around me

In spite of my best efforts, the driveways grow narrower. The piles of snow buildup around the buildings and I am running out of places to put the snow. The area I have In the field to stack manure grows smaller. maneuvering the tractor and spreader gets more difficult daily. And even with my best effort with the scraper, the inside of the spreader gets more built up every day. And fighting frozen equipment is a daily battle. CANT WAIT FOR SPRING TO GET HERE!!!!

Just talked to my friend who is in Sheridan for a few days....She says ya can't see your hand in front of your face....just started snowing here.

Right now I'm so busy moving snow that I don't have time to shop for one. Ironic, isn't it?. I'm so busy moving snow that I have no time to shop for something to move snow. Lol

You don't understand.

See, the world is getting warmer and this causes it to be colder and snow more and.........oh, never mind. :>)

Allan

Exactly Allen. ;)

Around here, people don't even greet each other any more. We just growl and sputter as we pass on the sidewalk. Everyone is so miserably sick of this weather.....

I was out thawing out a pit last night at 7:00, water to the barn. I'm pouring in coffee working up the ambition right now to go do it again. I don't have to look, I know that below zero south wind froze it again.....

The weekend should still be minus teens weather here. Us hardened minnesota ins are sick of it. I see a lot of backhoe work in town, ripping up streets to get to busted water lines.....

Alternates between blowing below zero air south at 40mph, and then blowing the same cold air north at 45 mph. Throw in an inch of snow every 3 days so the wind has something to work with.

The fields are nearly bare here, the farm yards are piled 6 feet high with the wind blowing it all into huge banks wherever trees are.

We have the winds of Oklahoma and the temperatures of North Dakota, with the normal snow of Minnesota this year.

i saw on the news this morning so far we got just shy of 6 feet of snow this year. normal is 30 inches. supposed to get more this weekend.

-15 here this morning. But at least it is sunny. Ordered some syrup bottles and labels yesterday. The girl said it would be a week to do the labels. I told her not to worry. It was gonna be the middle of June before we start tapping anyway. She was in Michigan and she didn't even laugh. The forecasts are for another week to week and a half of crap yet before the weather breaks here.

WE at least warmed enough to melt the snow back. but it is now bitterly cold again. We are to get 6-10 inches of snow on Sunday and Monday.Only 21 days till SPRING , at least that's what the calender says.

That's why we had a dozer on the farm. When the snow got too deep for the loader, we used the dozer to move it back and pile it deeper.

Of course, with a snow blower you can reduce the volume so it doesn't pile up so deep. Best to use the blower before you use the loader though.

Sorry guys, buddy and I went fishing on Sabine river (border between TX & LA) yesterday, temp 60s limited out on Sand Bass (25 apiece) in about an hour. Sure glad I don't live north.

It seems all I have been doing for the past 6 weeks is shoveling snow off the walks and blowing it off the drive ways. We got another 15 inches overnight so I just put blockheater on the Ford 4610 "ON" and will be going out in an hour and a half to blow the snow off the lanes. Lot of guys are calving in this weather and it makes me glad I won't be for about another month. Where the he** is "global warming" when you need it?!
The only good thing about this is there should be plenty of water for irrigation this season. The Mission Mountain are full of snow!

I'm sorta getting used to it.
In winter it's the snow but that hides the main culprit.
When the snow finally goes away I can see all the stuff it's hiding and my garage and yard get smaller and the piles of junk get taller.

North or south of Logansport?
North put in at Mcfadden creek went north couple miles fish off any sand bar.
