Not Stan , I'm near L.A.and about 200 miles north of him . and the rain hasn't even begun down here yet . If they are talking about Azusa and Glendora , those are cities right in front of me and are very endangered by mudslides tonite and tomorrow. We have been told to expect up to 4-6 inches of rain in total....

Seams like more of the rain is always north of me around Los Angeles and north, which is about 100 mi away. Tonight on tv the weather man says a lot of rain is on the way. We are in no problem of flooding where I live. The people with problems, are the ones that build on a hill side, and wonder why their house slides down the mountain, or build in a low area and head for the sand bags with little rain. In the town I live in every now and and a house will drop in the ocean. from very wet earth. Now the city will not let builders build so close the the ocean. Only took them over a hundred years to figure that out. Stan

Stan,
I don't get it, why do they allow people to build where they know there will be wild fires followed by mud slides?

Where I live, people can no longer build where it will flood. After our last flood in 2008, the government offered to buy out homes that were flooded so people wouldn't rebuild there.

Well all it takes is a little grease to your congressman and the Feds decide to offer insurance for these bozos...doesn't matter which ocean you want to live on. It should be the homeowners risk alone, not ours....that would stop a lot of it.
