What year made?

I have a john deere 2 row 246/247 3pt planter, need the year it was made.I also have a john deere 4208 2 row cultivator,need the year it was made also.Feed back will be great.Thanks Brad

I have one of those planters that I saved from the scrap man. It is in sad shape but still has a few useable parts on it

I have a brochure that includes the 246 planter - the brochure is dated February 1955.

Also have a brochure that talks about the 4208 cultivator. It is dated November 1956.

I hope this helps a little.
