What Golden Years.

Still working on getting the land split my Mom left my brother and myself. Just one big problem after another. Since the neighbor lady bought a house, and is not interested in my land. she is out of the picture. Plus, no longer a big guilt trip for me. Not going into the details on that. Every time I turn around someone wants money. Just paid the water district 500 big ones to tell me how much water comes out of the fire plug at the property. Shouldn't they know that already? The same day I found out I need to put an electric transformer 200 ft. closer to the land. That can't be cheap. Then there's the storm water engineer, wants his cut. Things aren't all that bad though, at 71, I still have good health, My finger is healing quite well from smashing it last week. The sun came up today. We are going to get some rain soon, so there will be weeds to mow, and disc in the spring. Sometimes it's just good to talk over the fence to the neighbors. Stan

So all these problem with just living in California, and now a dust bowl. Has anybody out there thought about loading all their furniture and their family in to a Model T and heading for Oklahoma?

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who ya are!!! LOL I can see the wagon trains headed east already.

On our current trip there are some folk who have waited too late for that "once in a lifetime trip" . They have put it off and put it off. Now they are terminally ill or in such poor general health or ability . Now this trip they looked forward to is not fun for them or others around them.

dgasper, modet T"s are available. modelThaven.com
has a flat deck available, needs a bit of cosmetics and tires. might be just what you need.
could be a fun move.

The thought has crossed my mind. Then I see ice flows on TV pushing trees over, along with cars and trucks. Also I don't own a snow bower. Stan

Yeah. whoever named them the golden years was either a doctor or pharmacist, because they get all your "gold"! I am constantly amazed at the services that people in other places have to pay for. Where I live you don't have to pay for a transformer or power line and few counties have county wide water. Most of us have private wells.
