Know this isn"t tractor related but was wondering what kind of soda you like to drink if any. I personally like orange crush the best but like Pepsi and Mountain Dew quite a bit as well.

Kinda depends on if I'm drinking anything else at the same time. If I just want a soft drink, it's either Pepsi or Mtn. Dew. If there is anything stronger involved, I chase it with Mtn. Dew. (Peanuts and Moon Pies go just as good with Pepsi and Mtn.Dew as with Coke and RC).

Sure it's tractor related! Nothin' like a good ice cold soft drink of your choice when you have spent several hot dusty hours on a tractor!

I used to drink at least 6 of the big 32 oz orange Gatorades every day. At least 6. Man them things are good. But, I turned into a Type 2 diabetic and that was a contributing factor so I had to stop. Normal blood sugar level is something like 70 - 110, and mine hit 525 and I went blind for about a month because high blood sugar causes the eyes to swell, and get whacked out of focus. Now I drink gallons of well water every day, and over ice is good too, but nothing like orange Gatorade. Several cases every week. But, the up side is that my blood sugar level has been normal for two years with diet, no medication, and my vision may not be 20-20, but it aint far off, no glasses. I sure do miss orange Gatorade though.

ginger ale mixe 50-50 with 100% cranberry, really good and helps with stomach and kidneys(what physical therapist said)

Mostly drink water, but like Mountain dew the best. Can't stand the smell of coffee or tea, told my pastor once the Boston tea party was a failure, they didn't get rid of all of it!

That's one thing I never developed much of a liking for.
I drink about 3 or 4 sodas a year.
Generally on a real hot summer day. I like it from the fountain like at Subway, never from a can or bottle.
It has to be root beer.
Can't stand the taste of anything else.

Water and maybe 6 cokes a year and if it's hot sweet tea. Got the tea thing from living in Sc. for a bit.

Use to drink 6-12 Mt Dews a day. Yup I was an addict. Switched to diet Mt. Dew, lost 15 pounds over the next 3 months. Way too much sugar in that stuff, but man is it good.

Quit diet last year (2013), except I will have glass mixed 50/50 with rum maybe once a month.

I sure miss the real Mt. Dew, ice cold in a glass bottle. But its been 9 years since I quit drinking it, so I am cured!!!

Given that my dad worked at Coke years ago, I became a Coke addict early on (((the original/classic is the only kind to me))). Back then I especially liked to make Cherry Cokes with the concentrated cherry flavor he would occasionally bring home. Now those were GOOOOOOOD. Now, especially during the winter, I drink Cokes during the day to keep my caffeine levels up (my sleep time always seems to stay screwed up through the winter months), and then Ginger Ale at night to wind down. Depending on my mood I also like Sprite, Mt Dew, and during the summer months the powdered Gatorade that I make to my own taste. That all said NOTHING beats a nice can of Coke that has been chilled to the point it has just a few ice crystals in it....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Got the worst bladder infection from 2 cups of coffee and 6 cans of dist Dr Thunder a day. I now drink at most 2 cups of coffee a day and maybe 3 cans of diet orange or caffeine free coke a WEEK. The aspartame in pop bothers my legs at night. It is probably turning into formaldehyde. Thanks to Rumsfeld and Monsatan for cooking the books on aspartame. I would rather have Splenda since I am diabetic. I am drinking more water and I like carbonated water.

Ya Hoo!

You asked about "favorite":

A well mixed fountain Coke. The water has to be filtered and the syrup mix just right.

Second would be: Mexican Coca Cola. It taste is close to the Coke from my youth, is made with real sugar, and comes in a glass bottle.

Third would be: DP in a bottle.

I prefer RC to Pepsi. Throwback is misnamed, it should be Throw Up. My gut doesn't tolerate Nurtasweet in any form, even breath mints.

In the summer I drink about a gallon of sun tea a day. I always have to have a Pepsi around lunch time. I have never in my life had more than a swallow of a diet drink. I can't stand that fake sugar stuff. I'd rather have nothing than have diet drinks.

Favorite--well only had it a few times, don't know where to get it any more but I liked it's flavor and loved the name--White Lightning. It was sold in a vending machine at my employers Kenansville, NC plant. It was basically Mountain Dew type drink. I could swear I kept that can--now it's pissing me off I don't know where I put it. I can't find a picture online either. It was a green can with the name in white at about a 45 degree angle.

Root beer. Favorite is Barq's, Mug is good too. When it's hot, I tend to drink more iced tea though. Had to cut way back though, trucking and lots of sweets don't mix. I really don't like shopping for a new size of clothes.

We pretty much gave up on soda pop. I go to the Univ of Mich Dental school for my dental work and heard horror stories about Mt. Dew. It seems its a little thicker than most pop and sticks to your teeth more. I had 2 dentists tell me they had guys that sip it all day rot all their teeth out by the time they were 30 or sooner. If you have to drink it, get it over with do not sip it all day is what they said, and swish your mouth out with water to rinse it off your teeth.

I rarely indulge, but I did like regular ole Coke, a treat in a frosted glass. I'll bet its been six months or more, just too much darned sugar in it. I hate any diet soft drinks, since day one, better to just have the sugar and taste like it should. Root beer connoisseur here too, like cream soda, even liked seltzer quite a bit. Coke from the fountain at the old dairy bar across the street, my friend used to take care of that old fountain, that was always the best. The old man worked for coke, always had that fountain going even in later years, one of the grandkids looked after it for years after, had I one of those in my house, that would not be good LOL !

Now to expand ones horizons, there's a bunch of fancy root beers and similar high end brands out there to enjoy in a frosted mug, NO ICE ever in any of these and the above. Local brewery used to make their own, root beer, cream soda, very fine, a nice local treat. Great grandmother made root beer, ginger ale and I think beer as well. Busy woman with 8 kids.

I find more value in a craft beer, seasonally, its really something to enjoy, 2 usually do the trick, most times its just one in a frozen but thick glass like a tankard, of course a tasty nightcap may follow on occasion. None of the above in excess are worth a darn, but one, such as spring water. I've surely enjoyed lots of that more than the above, best thing for ya H2O. Grandmothers place had true mountain spring water, used to bring a gallon of work today when I lived there. I'll admit to liking water best, be it poland spring in my cooler, or our well water unsoftened for minerals or softened, don't matter, most refreshing on a hot summer day.

You are right - Ski is really good. Around here we call it sody rather than soda pop, though.
Excel Bottling that owns Ski is also operating a brewery there in Breese, too. If familiar with Ski you must be in Western Kentucky?

I like most any flavor but have not drank much of any in years. Way too much sugar. Tooth decay, heart disease, diabetes, overweight, if those are the side effects I can live without the stuff. A little coffee or tea or plain water .

Like almost any kind, but I suppose mt. Dew would be favorite. All soda is Hard on a person's teeth though, found that out the hard way.

Fountain Coca Cola first choice, Canned Coke 2nd, Now Mixed drinks would be Jack D & Orange Juice, or Jack & Coke, Hot Chocolate & Jack D is pretty good too!

ll diet pop ought to be poured in the sewer! Even 'not real sugar' pop. If not drinking the real thing, then water. Coke if real is OK. Actually water first!

Here in IL we call it pop. A few years back we were ordering dinner at a restaurant in TN. When the waitress asked what I wanted to drink, I asked what kind of pop they had. She had that deer in the headlights look. I said oh, you might call it soda here. Then she said, oh, you mean Coke. I asked what else they had. She said we have Pepsi, Mountain Dew..... I said, it's unusual for a restaurant to have both Pepsi and Coke. She said, no, the only kinds of Coke we have are Pepsi products. Don't try to explain to a southerner that Coke is a brand of soda pop, and that not all soda pop is Coke.

Another time I went out for pizza with some friends in MO. I asked the waitress what kind of pop they had. She looked at my friends. One of them quietly said soda.

Anyway, I'm a NuGrape Soda guy. Only one store carries it locally and they don't always have it. I like Dog-N-Suds Root Beer, and Dog-N-Suds Orange Cream.
I mostly just drink water though.

It's hard to find around home but my favorite is Ale-8. When I find it I generally buy a case. I do like Aldi's fake mdew Other than that what ever is on sale at the store as long as it is not diet.

A good fill of water first thing in the morning,..coffee for the rest of the day and nothing else,..never coke or any of that other sugary crap.
No booze or beer either.

Well, thanks for clearing up that mystery, mtf. Now tell us, is a slaw burger really what I think it is? The fries, I assume are fried taters.

Funny you should ask that. I have just spent a few days on Jeju Island which is near to (and indeed part of )South Korea. They have a popular drink over there called Chilsung Cider. The name is a misnomer as it is not made from apples or pears and it has absolutely zero alcohol content, it is in fact a lemon/lime fizzy pop a bit like say 7 up or Sprite. It might be a bit sweet for some palates I thought it was delicious!
P.S. I saw some John Deere tractors and a Claas Crop Tiger combine on the island too, so at least my post is sort of tractor related haha!
Chilsung Cider

Mountain Dew and plenty of it. My sister said it would kill me and I told her that was what's keeping me alive. At the age of three score and ten as one we all know and love said "What difference, at this point, does it make?" TDF

We drink very little soda here. It's usually coffee or water. When it's hot I drink alot of water. I bet my wife and I together have not had an entire soda between the two of us in a years time.

Even at a restaurant anymore I order water or coffee. I agree with several that have posted the sugar in the soda is just way too much. The sugar just makes me thirstier.

I don't drink very much soda, but I do like doctor pepper.

Although, it's weird, at the same time I think the stuff is disgusting.

It's way too sugary and syrupy tasting - nasty. But there's still something satisfying about it.

I drank a lot of diet soda for years, until the doctor discovered the damage that I was doing to my system. It caused me stomach problems, as well as depleting essentual vitamins and minerals from my body.

Once I quit drinking soda, I had to cut back on the vitamin supplements as my body was absorbing the things that I needed to hold back the leukemia that I have. Apparently the soda blocked my body from absorbing those things before.

If you drink much soda, you should have your doctor run lab tests to see what is lacking in your body.

diet pepsi
once in awhile diet mountain dew
I used to drink regular, but when they switched to corn syrup, I had to go diet. corn syrup gives me a stomach ache and a terrible aftertaste.
You get used to diet if you NEVER have a regular after you switch.
I much prefer water, or beer

none, haven't drank the stuff in years, I stay away from a lot of sugar, corn syrup, food colorings, and preservatives. With that said I do drink coffee, juice and water, my wife and I grow most of our own food. When I use to drink soda back in the day it seem to dehydrate me and I would get a lot of cramps in my legs, and a lot of stomach issues.

Guinness Harp, Guinness Stout, Yuengling Lager, Hacker-Pschorr, Old Peculiar, Einbecker Ur-Bock, etc. All good soft drinks. As far as the hard stuff-Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, Schenly Black Velvet Reserve, any kind of vodka. Can't stand that Clydesdale pee from St Louis or any of the cowpee from Wis. Hic. (;>))

I had the same problem.stomach hurt back problems. Felt tired all the time.Started drinking water everything cleared up

Use to be the dew but I gave all that up few years ago. Thinking of all the sugar going into my kidneys and having a friend on dialysis figured I better take better care of myself. Pop isn't fit for human consumption. Just my opinion.

7-UP , Drank Pepsi for yrs. and started having stomach problems , went to the doc and he told me to change to a clear pop , problem went away . If I drink 4-5 dark pops in a day or two I can tell .

I've drank enough Pepsi in my lifetime to float a battleship, but I haven't touched a soda for the last ten or fifteen years. It was a hard habit to break. Now it's water, tea or coffee. One habit replaced another, ha.

In the south, soda pop is coke, Cocola is a Coca Cola.
I've been trying to cut down on my root beer. I get the "keg style" in the brown box at wally's-mart. I'd get A&W if it was priced competitive with the store brand.
Used to know a guy who drove for North American Van Lines, hauled Pepsi out of their plant to a warehouse. They had to go by a scale, and when hauling Mountain Dew they figured an extra half hour to get pulled around to get the company an overweight ticket. All loads had the same number of cases in it. Mountain Dew was something like 1500 pounds heavier than anything else because of the sugar in it.
One of the guys who drove there drank nothing but M/D. He went in for a fairly simple procedure, when he came to, found out he was going to be dumping in a bag the rest of his life. They touched his intestine and it just fell apart.

I drink very little soda now. If I drink anything now it's 7-up. I use to drink a lot of Diet Coke until I found out what the Aspartame was doing to me. Quit drinking the stuff and felt 100% better. My banker gave me a printout of the facts on it. If you are drinking anything with aspartame in it get on the web and check it out.

Diet Squirt.

A couple of years ago, I switched from regular Pepsi to diet Squirt and lost 30 pounds within a couple of months, without changing eating habits.

I used to drink 4-5 diet cokes or diet Dr peppers a day. It was available while I was growing up and I drank a lot of it. Since I got married we decided it was expensive and we didn't need to buy it. Now I agree that it tastes nasty and I feel a lot better if I drink water. I also drink coffee, milk and juice. If I drink a pop now it's a regular coke.

Diet tonic water.

My wife has MS and her neurologist suggested it as a way to relieve cramps.

It didn't work for her but I started drinking it and it really helped to reduce my knee pain at night (actually eliminated it).

My favorites are the wallm and km house brands.

Brad

One can of Diet Coke first thing every morning. I don"t drink any other pop almost ever. But I WANT that Diet Coke every morning.

I hardly drink any coffee anymore.

Diet cherry 7up or just diet 7up, but not so much any more...kidney problems from diabetes so I try to drink as close to a gallon of good old H20 every day from my well!

It is all about moderation. To much of anything is could be bad for you. You can die from drinking to much water to quickly. To much coffee, or sweet tea is just as bad as a soft drink. eatin to much chocolate is bad.

Everything in moderation. that is the key.

Ski is the bomb! I have go go one county north to find it, it is worth the drive. A gas station 40 mi up the road has Ski slushees.

I rarely drink soda, but if I can get it I like either Stewarts Orange Cream Sickle or IBC root beer.

You and my brother, the last two Sussex ginger ale drinkers standing. I don't think he comes east to visit family as much as to "restock" with Sussex GGA.
