I went to an auction preview today and I think that same dog was following me around there while I was looking at the equipment.

I"m trying to make a joke out of the old Sheppard tractor pulling a tumble bug scraper while a German dog is nipping at the outer corner....but it just isn"t working....sorry, pardner!

In the 30s my dad had a team of horses that he pulled a tumble bug building reservoirs for the WPA in eastern Montana.I think he got a dollar a day wages and a dollar a day for the horses.Ron

The neighbor's grandfather dug the basement for that house with a team of horses and one of those. The house was already built and he dug the basement out from under it. There's a picture of it somewhere. Men had lots of guts in those days.

till have my Dad's & still use it. Lots of names for those, such as fresno, tumble bug, others that I can't remember.

We had one of those that would make an Oliver Super 88 holler. I sold it along with a whole bunch of other stuff for scrap a few years ago when the Chinese were paying top $$$. It's probably part of an aircraft carrier or something now.
