4010 rebuild

Rebuilding 4010 with 301 gas engine the uppergasket set has 12 o rings my question is what are they for thanks for any help in advance this is the firt time rebuilding a tractot engine

I can't tell you about that particular motor but don't expect to find a home for everything in the set because all sets contain many extra pieces. It is because it saves the manufacturers a lot in inventory costs to be able to carry just one kit for many different engines.

What size are the O-rings???

Ought to be 13 o-rings. The intake valves take one o-ring each. So that accounts for at least 6 of them. Deere # R27976. Then's there is one each of three others and four of yet another for miscellaneous areas.
